•Store roasted coffee in an airtight container in a cold, dry, odour-free environment. The freezer is best for maintaining freshness.
•Grind whole roasted beans to suit the brewer. For best results use a fine grind for a drip pot, and medium grind for a cafetiere or percolator. Ensure that the brewing device is clean and odour-free. Clean coffee utensils with baking soda and NOT detergent.
•Use one rounded TABLESPOON of ground coffee per cup of water (170 ml or 6 oz). Add more or less coffee to suit your individual taste.
•Use spring water or filtered water when possible.
•For best results, water should be at 205 degrees F / 96 degrees C.
•Once brewed, coffee should be consumed within the hour. If coffee stays too long on a warmer, it will develop a harsh flavour and lose its smooth delicate taste.
NEVER boil or reheat coffee after it becomes cold.
